# Ultra Patterns > AI interface patterns with the evidence attached, by the ULTRA project (Odisee UCE, KU Leuven Augment, Arteveldehogeschool). Content CC BY 4.0. ## Patterns - [On-demand suggestions per field](https://patterns.ultra-project.be/on-demand-suggestions.json): Fields stay empty until the user asks for options, so the user chooses a direction instead of hunting for errors. State: Tested (pilot). - [Pre-filled form with review](https://patterns.ultra-project.be/pre-filled-with-review.json): The AI fills every field first and the user checks. Suited to facts the system can verify, risky for judgement content. State: Tested (pilot). - [Privacy check before sending personal data](https://patterns.ultra-project.be/privacy-check-before-sending.json): Before text goes to a model, the app spots personal data and lets the user send, strip or skip the AI step. State: Seen in a case. - [Classification with confidence and reason](https://patterns.ultra-project.be/classification-with-confidence-and-reason.json): A label, how sure the system is, and the evidence it used, so a person can check the judgement instead of reading a bare percentage. State: Seen in a case. - [Urgency labels for prioritisation](https://patterns.ultra-project.be/urgency-labels-for-prioritisation.json): A small set of urgency levels on every item, so a full inbox can be scanned in seconds and the order of work is explicit. State: Seen in a case. - [Low-confidence hand-off to a person](https://patterns.ultra-project.be/low-confidence-hand-off.json): Below a threshold the AI stops, says what it could not determine, and hands the item to a person instead of guessing. State: Seen in a case. - [Why is this urgent](https://patterns.ultra-project.be/why-is-this-urgent.json): A one-line reason behind an AI judgement, available on click rather than always on screen. State: Seen in a case. - [Review a colleague's work checkpoint](https://patterns.ultra-project.be/review-a-colleagues-work.json): AI-prepared work by a junior reaches a senior with the source, the junior's note and two clear actions. State: Seen in a case. - [Match recipe](https://patterns.ultra-project.be/match-recipe.json): A persistent five-signal checklist updates while the user writes a brief in free text, without forcing a form. State: Seen in a case. - [Why this question](https://patterns.ultra-project.be/why-this-question.json): When an assistant asks a follow-up, it says in one line why the answer will improve the result. State: Seen in a case. - [Staged conversation: the code decides](https://patterns.ultra-project.be/staged-conversation.json): The conversation always sits in one named phase. The model can only signal readiness; the app decides when to move on, refuse or repeat. State: Seen in a case. - [One question per turn](https://patterns.ultra-project.be/one-question-per-turn.json): Each assistant turn asks exactly one thing. People answer without juggling, and the answer format makes the rule enforceable. State: Seen in a case. - [Out-of-scope refusal with a next step](https://patterns.ultra-project.be/out-of-scope-refusal-with-a-next-step.json): When a request leaves the assistant's remit it says so, offers a safe next step and, where lives may be at stake, a helpline. Decided by code, not by mood. State: Seen in a case. - [Paraphrase before you advise](https://patterns.ultra-project.be/paraphrase-before-you-advise.json): The assistant first mirrors what the person said in its own words, then asks or suggests. Only what was said, never what it guessed. State: Seen in a case. - [Show an example, not a rule](https://patterns.ultra-project.be/show-an-example-not-a-rule.json): Every tip comes with a sentence the person could actually say. In both Goose rounds, the example dialogue was the most valued feature. State: Seen in a case. - [Your words first, then feedback](https://patterns.ultra-project.be/your-words-first-then-feedback.json): In practice mode the person writes the reply; the assistant gives feedback on it instead of writing it. The skill stays with the person. State: Seen in a case. - [Board first, guided brief on request](https://patterns.ultra-project.be/board-first-brief-on-request.json): The person lands on a board they order themselves; the AI's one-task-at-a-time brief opens per task, on request. Five of seven accountants preferred it. State: Tested (pilot). - [One proposed action, one named button](https://patterns.ultra-project.be/one-action-one-named-button.json): One AI proposal at a time, with its verb on the button: Send this reply. Two proposals side by side: five of seven completed the task. One: all seven. State: Seen in a case. - [Team workload view with availability](https://patterns.ultra-project.be/team-workload-with-availability.json): Each colleague's open and overdue tasks and whether they are in, behind a navigation item with a text label. Valued by all seven, once found. State: Seen in a case. ## Rules - [How the compass decides](https://patterns.ultra-project.be/about/compass) - [Vocabulary bridge](https://patterns.ultra-project.be/about/vocabulary) - [Libraries we build on](https://patterns.ultra-project.be/about/libraries) Full text: https://patterns.ultra-project.be/llms-full.txt
